Ok, I do admit I bear resemblance to the historic Soviet leader and political theorist Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov otherwise known as Lenin.
The forehead, the hairstyle, the eyes, the beard.
But stop calling me Lenin, please.
It is correct that my book ‘The East-West Dichotomy’ is published at the same house in China that also publishes the collective works of Lenin, but also the works of Karl Marx and Mao Zedong.
That even gave more Chinese observers the idea that I should look like Lenin. They mean it in an affectionate, positive way.
Unfortunately, Lenin in the West is seen not as a culture maker and revolutionary genius, but also as a dark figure of oppression, revolt, and communism.
Therefore, please refrain from calling me Lenin. Thank you!
